UPON GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL . . .

I spent much of my free time here yesterday actually defending this web site against a
I get the frustration that must come with being subject to porn, critical rational thinking and people telling you that you are using your religion like Hitler used Panzers and Eichmann used Zyklon-B. That doesn't mean I have to like it. And I don't like it one bit. And this was one guy who got me thinking I need to get on the Sarah Chalke bandwagon because my panties were nearly in my spleen. Having lived 29 years as a white woman in the American Midwest, graduated from college, gotten married and had it fall apart I learned a thing or two. From the time I could understand the words coming from the mouths of my parents and siblings until the second bullet penetrated my skull from the pistol my husband fired at me as I tried to leave him there was a bit of a secret shared that never really had to be said but was known. "You are one of us and you are better than them." I'd be the last person to say there's some vast white wing conspiracy but just take a little walk with me and let me show you a few things.
Think of three of the most powerful white men of the last few years in talk radio. If you came up with Glen Beck, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh you would be heading to the front of the class. Now take your time and this is an open Internet test so feel free to do whatcha gotta do tell me where these three conservative, millionaire tee vee and radio personalities went to college. Here's a video for the smart kids again:
Glen Beck graduated from high school and went straight to a radio station to work his way into an on air slot. This wasn't in the good old days when a high school diploma was your ticket to a house with a white picket fence this was in the early 1990s the decade of greed when those allegedly without pedigree did not get anywhere even with hard work and dedication. Anchormen were blaring at all of us how doomed you would be if you didn't get a degree from somewhere and I had mine from Marquette by this time and I was catching near Hell trying to get a job anywhere near my field of business management. I guess I never told any of you that worked in management at a bank did I? One day I'll spill the beans but today we need to move on.
Rush Limbaugh yeah he's old school probably went to BYU or some hot shit school like that right in the 60s where he was isolated from the hippie movement. No make love not war for Rush right? Sorry, after graduating from high school in Cape Girardeau, Missouri [damn there's Missouri again, Isn't Carol Platt Liebau from Missouri too? Trend developing here?] Limbaugh went into radio in central Pennsylvania. According to the Wikipedia page his mother said that the two semesters of college were a disaster and that "he flunked everything." This was attributed to Rush being only interested in radio.
Sean Hannity is America's sweetheart since the whole Barack Obama Reverend Wright dustup. Now of course a strikingly forthright and conservative white man like Sean Hannity who is known to make up any old lie to protect the political party that he loves would certainly have attended some college of higher learning. Right? As Lee Corso, a guy who did graduate from college [Florida State '59], would say, "Not so fast!" Hannity never graduated from college either choosing, "after a series of odd jobs across the nation" to, say it with me kids, to pursue a career in radio after dropping out of New York University. So my question is and since I'm going to likely be called an affirmative action bitch for this, is why aren't some of the talented black DJs, Latina DJs being hired right out of high school radio programs all over the country and ending up in multimillion dollar gigs like Hannity and like Beck and Limbaugh? There's got to be market out there for them considering the billions that the Hip Hop culture generates from the white preteens, tweens and teenagers that adore the music and the clothes and the Cristal.
Tavis Smiley [Indiana University], Tom Joyner [Tuskegee] and Roland Martin [Texas A&M] all come with superior bona fides to Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity. I would go as far to say that these three men come from better backgrounds, moral upbringings and family values than any of the other three. Yet Smiley does not enjoy the wealth of Beck nor does Joyner enjoy the wealth of Limbaugh or Martin a brilliant young man enjoys the audience or the lucre of Sean Hannity. Worse of all and as much as I loathe the sort of mealy mouthed arrogance of Glen Beck and the pompous catering to the stupidest elements of my race by Limbaugh Hannity is the very worst of them all because he is not only a liar at the very core of his personality he is a bigot as well. As much as he has tried to deflect his relationship with Hal Turner a noted Garden State neo Nazi whom Hannity supported and associated with for years. To men like Sean Hannity the plight of poor people of color means nothing. Sean Hannity chuckled regularly with Hal Turner as he flooded the airwaves with hate speech that would make anything that Reverend Jeremiah Wright said about white America seem trivial. Hannity also made clear how much he enjoyed the radio program of racist Bob Grant [born Roberto Ciro Gigante, yes he's an angry Italian] whom WABC had to fire for his support of white supremacists groups in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing and derogatory comments about the death of Commerce Sec'y Ron Brown in 1996.
But Fox who caters to the most angry white people in America the ones who are sure they haven't fucked themselves but swear they feel two hands on their shoulders and those hands have to be black or brown will not jettison this race hating asshat. It is likely that Hannity will stay right in that seat on Fox next to Colmes and be heard by a national audience that approaches 20 million on radio. That's fine because my America the one where people can do more than just tolerate each other will never exist because my people are petty and greedy and jealous. They sing in church and swear at other drivers in their cars. They shake their fists at adulterers on television but are the first to seek to fuck the new neighbor's kid when everyone else is at work. My people are frail and human and weak and that is not their crime, not their crime at all. The crime of the white race, my race of men and women is that they are not worthy of the place they hold because they took that place by force without respecting the responsibility that being on the top means more than you get the first cuts of everything. This doesn't mean that you get to be Master it means that you get to be steward. Men like Hannity think they are supposed to stand on that pillar and piss down on everyone who tries to get up there with him but the truth is stewardship means you have to bend down on that marble slab and reach out your hand to your black brother and pull him up to where you are.
I can tell you from my firsthand, personal experience that Sean Hannity does, in fact, agree with many of my political and social views. I can also tell you that Sean Hannity disagrees with some of my political and social views. I won't go subject-by-subject to say which he agrees with and which he disagrees with. You can figure that out easy enough on your own! Suffice it to say that my recollection is that when Sean and I spoke by phone, while no one else was listening, he and I exchanged the kinds of views that most White, Irish-Catholic guys hold, but won't speak in public.
In my opinion, based on my first hand experience, I believe Sean Hannity is, in fact, a Hal Turner sort of guy. It seems to me that a big difference between Sean and me is that I am willing to say publicly what I think about savage Black criminals, diseased, uneducated illegal aliens and the grotesque cultural destruction wrought by satanic jews while Sean and many others keep quiet to protect their paychecks.
Another big difference is that I am perfectly willing to use force and violence against my enemies while Sean Hannity and others are not. Those using me as a prop to attack Sean Hannity would do well to remember this fact. Rest assured I will remember them when the opportunity presents itself; especially as it pertains to that douche bag sodomite Max Blumenthal for the falsehoods and total trash he wrote about me in "The Nation" magazine. --Hal Turner, halturnershow.com
All of you know how this ends. There will be a little buzz and a few liberal bloggers will call for Hannity to be fired and nothing will happen because Hannity makes Fox money. And that's sad because what Don Imus did was stupid and likely done for laughs in his own sick mind, what Reverend Wright did was out of frustration for generations of black souls who had no forum to speak in such a frank manner because they would have been killed by white society, but what Hannity did is systematic because it gives wind to the lungs of those that would tell their white children what Hannity and Turner and Grant said as it were a racial Gospel and as impressionable as children are it has to make you think. Is this where the new racism of the 21st Century will come from? From the mouths of frustrated middle class white men in Illinois and Indiana and Alabama and Georgia who struggle to make ends meet in a system designed to wring back out of them more than they have. No doubt it's hard out there for "whitey" these days if he isn't in the higher tax brackets. They aren't alone what's gone is that ease of getting a loan and the ease of keeping that job for ten or twenty or thirty years. The certainty of being white has been replaced by the invisible hand of capitalism deciding that the bottom line is and forever shall be more important than white faces gathered around the dinner table in a stable family unit that can be depended upon to spend their hard earned sawbuck on Proctor and Gamble or Esso or Chesterfield with a loyalty that was once reserved for nationalism. They don't need you anymore to compete they have China and India who have emerging middle classes that dwarf the entire US population immigrants and all! Welcome to the global economy motherfuckers; today being white is as weak an argument for being prosperous as coming to the window with a dollar instead of a £ or a €.

I'm still seeing red over this Tampa Bay Rays Evan Longoria thing, so I'm even more tilted than usual this morning. I'm really in the mood to join the bloody fray over at B4V, despite millions of good reasons not to.
So, I'll let your post stand in as my psychotherapy session. Your writing has a very calming and centering effect on me. Folks over at those creepy sites you visit would not concur, but when I read your words, somehow I feel all is well.
I know you like to kick ass but I think you do it in a very rational and calm way. I guess having been born into that strange environment, having suffered from the effects of its pathologies and having died to tell the tale, as it were, you are remarkably patient, but you're never letting it go and that's a great thing.
Visualize it if you can from my perspective. I grew up maybe 1500 miles and 180 degrees from where you did. I don't know exactly the day I figured out that Lindsay wasn't the mayor and that I wasn't going to be playing stoopball and having a Carvel after school or that Spanish and Yiddish weren't also "official" languages of the USA. But it really wasn't that long ago -- 4 years max -- and I'd already gotten my master's and had lived all over the world and had even presented papers at major economic conferences and so on. I had gilt-edgeda qualifications and lots of experience.
It was when a shiks (I mean gentile woman, solly) in LV asked me if I "hated Arabs"? I was kind of dumbstruck. I asked her why she'd think such a thing, as she'd seen me hanging out with my Brooklyn-Lebanese sista N___y. The woman said "you know because of 9/11 and because you're Jewish." It took me a minute to think of an answer that wasn't hostile or dismissive or loco. Finally, I came up with something on the order of this: "Please understand that I'm from the city. If I spent one second hating Arabs I'd be hating my friends, my neighbors, the folks I play cards with...that whole 9/11 anti-Arab trip is yours not ours."
I never thought NYC was any kind of Ghandi-esque paradise but even the Bob Grant fans up there get where I'm coming from on this. There's a lot of tribalism but nobody has ONLY friends who are exactly like them. It's just not possible to get through a day of life there without a sense of these things.
When I saw Middle Americans I really feel like Leakey or Mead and I'm seeing some strange culture I don't yet get. They seemed like nice enough people and way too polite to say anything to my face, but I did notice something a little strange about them. Like they're just striding through life competely unaware. I've noticed that the middle-class ones don't curse terribly much and look funny at you if you do, but they're so into war and all of these extremist points of view. So, I don't have any antipathy except for when it affects me as with UIGEA or Hagee or the Bible College Girls. If those views weren't so prevalent and there weren't so goddamned many of them with all that political clout, I'd see them sort of like a Margaret Mead might see some Indonesian island culture.
And affimative action is a perfect example. Personally, I favor a slave-descendent reparations program (I'll get to that) and a strong need-based affirmative action hiring model. But affirmative action makes the goyim and to many of my folk absolutely crazy. I don't get that at all. Even if there were a hard-quota system in higher education, and you were a White middle-class middle-American college bound HS student there's a very simple way to equalize any disadvange to you of a race-based quota system: APPLY TO ONE MORE COLLEGE. That's it. Statistically and stochastically you have solved your problem. But Bakke ensures that there's no hard-quota system anyway, so what is everyone so uptight about?
For middle American white families who worry about the economic effects of any affirmative action in hiring or immigration problems, and whose kids may or may not be on a success track, I have another very easy and inexpensive way to solve that problem: if you have young children STOP ABUSING THEM and START READING TO THEM AND PLAYING BOARD GAMES AND SPORTS WITH THEM. The results are amazing with no more than 20 minutes per day effort.
But I really have no desire to defy STARFLEET'S PRIME DIRECTIVE. Tommy-Gun, I am afraid that your erstwhile culture is going to have to figure this out on its own.
In for a penny. In for a pound. Reparations. Unthinkable, right? Wrong. The Swiss paid the Jews cash money and those other assets which could be found. The Russians paid the citizens of the FSU and statellite states in real property. Are the Swiss and Russians so much more advanced and humane than White America is? Scratch that. That was stupid.
The reparations argument is a fairly straight forward one. Let's keep the math really simple. Assume since the formation of the Union there have been 5mm Afrian and African-American slaves working an average of 125 hours per week for an "average" of 90 years. And everything became perfectly "fair" by 1870. And that that they were paid 50c/hr with no interest.
Do you realize how large a number that is? It is $10.25 trillion dollars. Yes, more than the entire debt of the USA.
I've left out compound interest, the externalities of free-labor and technology, a more realistic wage, a larger slave population.
I've left out the Jim Crow laws. I've left out segregation. I've left out health, wealth and punishment disparities that linger.
I've left out taxes and torts.
I've left out the possibility of Black wealth accumluation and investment.
I've left out about 20 other things.
The right number is not one you can even conceptualze.
Yet, affirmative action is political suicide. And all three major political candidates believe that "welfare reform" and the "mending not ending of affirmative action" has been completed and we're all square.
Amazing. I guess I'll cross post this and elaborate on my blog.
Thanks, Doctor. You got me away from fretting about Tampa Bay baseball.
I guess I missed the question, but I'm enjoying the answer.
